Planning

It might seem a long way off, but your exam will be here before you know it. You need to get yourself sorted. Help yourself get the highest grade possible.
1. Know exact what the examiners will test you on – check out the GRADE OBJECTIVES for each module.
2. Start planning your revision timetable – plan to study between 1 and 3 subjects per night and spend between 20 minutes – 60 minutes on each. Write out a timetable for yourself so you know what you are going to study on which nights.
3. Keep yourself informed – know what your teachers are doing and running to help you:
a.  Get yourself a revision guide (£3.00 from Mrs O or the science technicians)
b.  You should be doing at least 20 minutes of science revision a day.
c.  Learn the keywords and their definitions and make sure you can use them when answering questions (see Results page for flashcards or an A4 sheet).
d.  Practice answering questions - there are plenty in the text books and loads on old papers – I have put links to past papers and their mark scheme on this website… click on Testing
e.  For heaven’s sake - ASK for help if you are having trouble
f.  Come to after school revision classes for 1 hour on Thursdays
g.  Come to Saturday morning science school from 9-11 am with Miss Stringer, Mr Gosling & me!
